n.
1. One who does skilled work, making things with their own hands; a craftsman
builder
(bÄl′dÉ™r)

n.
1. One that builds, especially a person who contracts for and supervises the construction of a building.
In the past, most home builders were also carpenters, and some even performed other trades as well. These craftsmen were known as artisan builders. Today however, most builders are not carpenters or craftsmen. They serve only as project managers, while subcontracting the field work to others.

Scott Davis still follows the artisan builder model. Scott, alongside his crew, self-performs almost all of the field work in his projects, including all forms of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, tilework, and more. When other trades are needed, Scott has established strong relationships with other industry professionals. Clients have been pleased with this artisan builder model, knowing their contractor will not only be supervising their project, but taking an active role in building their project as well.
